Long Term Care in Toronto
St. George Care Community opened in 1972 in the Toronto Annex. Its convenient location offers easy access to public transit, parks, hospitals, retail shopping and services; and the 238 residents enjoy the vibrancy of the community and the activities in the home. This long-term care community has a rich and diverse population, and works alongside many community partners to improve integration and continuity of care, with a number of well-developed programs to enhance a culture of continuous quality improvement. Residents enjoy an array of recreational programming that has been created to reflect a variety of interests. These include yoga, a drumming circle, talent showcase, exotic pet therapy, and bus outings to such places as Port Perry for a lake cruise, and Niagara Falls to see the Christmas lights.
St. George Care Community offers three respite beds.
