Meet Our President and Our Executive Team

Lois Cormack - President & Chief Executive Officer

photo of Lois CormackLois Cormack has been the President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Company since 2013. Since her appointment, Lois has led the Company through significant growth and transformation,  undertaking a successful rebranding and repositioning as one of Canada’s leading high quality seniors’ living providers.
 
Lois has been growing and transforming organizations as an executive for more than 30 years, with extensive experience in developing, leasing and operating seniors’ living residences. Previous roles include President of Specialty Care Inc., owner of a consulting practice and executive positions in the health and seniors’ living sectors.
 
Lois was previously Chair of the Ontario Long Term Care Association, has served on numerous national and provincial committees and has extensive experience and relationships in the health care and senior’s care sectors, including in the regulatory and policy environment in Canada. She currently serves on the Board of Governors at Seneca College and the Board of Trustees for Allied Properties REIT. 
 
In 2014 and 2015, Lois was named as one of Canada’s top female entrepreneurs in Profit/Canadian Businesses W100 in recognition of outstanding company growth and performance.  In 2017, under the leadership of Lois, Sienna Senior Living was named among Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures in the Enterprise Category by Waterstone Human Capital, a leading executive search and professional recruitment firm.
 
Lois holds a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Toronto, is a graduate of the Ivey Executive Program at the University of Western Ontario, and has completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program.
 


Michael Annable - Executive Vice President, People, and Chief Administrative Officer

His leadership experience spans human resources, operations, IT governance, employee and labour relations, health and safety, risk management, and government relations at the local, provincial, and federal levels. Formerly, Mike served as Executive VP Administration at Linamar Corporation. He is a graduate of Sheridan College with a Diploma in Business Computer Systems; a graduate of the Ivey Executive Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario; and a graduate of the Advanced Program in Human Resources Management at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.


 

Joanne Dykeman - Executive Vice President, Operations

A well-known and respected leader in senior living who has held a number of progressive positions, she currently sits as a member of Sienna’s Senior Executive Team. She has earned a reputation as a transformational leader, having led many large, company-wide initiatives resulting in improved resident outcomes and satisfaction, employee engagement, and business performance. Joanne is a Registered Nurse, with a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University in British Columbia. She is a Certified Health Executive (CHE) and is the recipient of two Spirit of Innovation Awards.

 

Lisa Kachur - Executive Vice President, Operations

photo of Lisa KachurLisa is a successful senior executive who has been making a positive difference in the lives of residents and employees in the Canadian senior living sector for the past 30 years.

By combining a passion for improving the experience of residents and team members with a focus on delivering market-leading results, she has earned a reputation as a strong leader, consistently achieving operational excellence. Previous roles include regional responsibility for numerous retirement and long-term care communities with Chartwell Seniors Housing and Revera. Lisa has extensive experience in all aspects of operations, acquisitions, integration, development, asset management and leasing. As a respected leader with extensive relationships in the seniors living sector including the regulatory environment, Lisa is skilled at leading the execution of unique solutions to complex issues and unlocking the potential of each business she has been involved in.

Lisa holds a Psychiatric Nursing Diploma from the Alberta Hospital Edmonton, a Nursing Management Certificate from Vancouver Community College, and a Healthcare Management Certificate from Douglas College.
 


Nitin Jain - Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer

photo of Nitin JainNitin brings a keen analytical eye and a wealth of experience in finance, real estate, capital markets, process improvement, and the development of high-performance teams to the Sienna family. As the Head of Finance for Real Estate at Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC), he had financial responsibility for 1,800 sites across the country, across all lines of business. While at CTC, Nitin was a key member in the CT REIT public and provided all Finance support to the CT REIT post-IPO. Nitin also spent five years with General Electric in increasingly senior financial leadership roles; as well as several formative years holding leadership positions in the hospitality sector across three countries.  Nitin is a CPA, CMA, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. 


 

Cristina Alaimo - Vice President, General Counsel

photo of Cristina AlaimoCristina is an accomplished senior business lawyer, having practiced with major Toronto law firm Goodmans LLP for several years prior to roles as VP and general counsel with public and private companies. Cristina has practiced securities law, corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance. She founded her own legal consulting practice in 2013, specializing in corporate and commercial law.

Cristina holds a specialized honours degree in kinesiology and health sciences from York University, as well as an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School. In 2003, she became a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada following her call to the Ontario Bar.

 


Brian Richardson - Chief Marketing Officer

With more than 30 years of experience in marketing and brand development, he has transformed service-oriented hospitality brands both online and offline. As a senior executive, he led global brand-building initiatives at a number of companies, including contributing to the transformation of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts from a domestic chain to a premiere global brand operating in over 20 countries. Recognized by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International as one of “The 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing,” Brian has participated on the board of the Canadian Tourism Commission and the Canadian Tourism Research Institute, and has been a member of the Conference Board of Canada’s Council of Senior Marketing Executives. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and an MBA.
