Long Term Care

Accreditation Canada

Accreditation provides long-term care operators with an independent, third-party assessment using standards built upon best practices used and validated by similar organizations around the world. Accreditation is an ongoing process of assessing health and long-term care organizations against standards of excellence to identify what is being done well and what needs to be improved.

CALTC

CALTC is a national organization comprised of provincial associations and long-term care providers that deliver publicly-funded health care services for seniors across Canada.

CARF

CARF International accreditation provides a visible symbol that assures you of a health service provider's commitment to continually enhancing the quality of its services and programs, with a focus on the satisfaction of clients and residents. Obtaining CARF Accreditation is the result of a thorough and rigorous evaluation process, and it is held by a select number of long-term care providers.

Ontario Long Term Care Association

The Ontario Long Term Care Association works to promote safe, quality long term care for Ontario’s seniors. It is the largest long term care provider association in Ontario, and Ontario Long Term Care Association's homes are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Sienna Senior Living is proud to be an active and engaged member of the Ontario Long Term Care Association.

Retirement

Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA

ORCA is a voluntary non-profit association of retirement residences in Ontario. Since 1997, ORCA has helped set standards for retirement home care and operation and provided a peer-review program to assess compliance and accredit member homes. Sienna Senior Living is proud to be an active and engaged member of ORCA.

BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA)

BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is the leading voice of non-government operators providing continuing care services in British Columbia. Their membership includes over 350 organizations, supporting over 26,000 seniors each year by delivering long-term care, home health, assisted living, as well as commercial and associate members. Through EngAge BC, they represent the interests of B.C.’s independent living sector. Senior Living is proud to be an active and engaged member of the BC Care Providers Association.

BC Seniors Living Association (BCSLA)

The British Columbia Seniors Living Association (BCSLA) is a voluntary, membership-driven organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of the highest standards of retirement living. BCSLA’s Seal of Approval -- which all Sienna Retirement Residences in BC hold -- is a self regulatory, external and internal assessment program providing the highest standard of service and safety for seniors.
