Accreditation provides long-term care operators with an independent, third-party assessment using standards built upon best practices used and validated by similar organizations around the world. Accreditation is an ongoing process of assessing health and long-term care organizations against standards of excellence to identify what is being done well and what needs to be improved.

Obtaining CARF Accreditation is the result of a thorough and rigorous evaluation process, and it is held by a select number of long-term care providers.

Ontario Long Term Care Association

The Ontario Long Term Care Association works to promote safe, quality long term care for Ontario’s seniors. It is the largest long term care provider association in Ontario, and Ontario Long Term Care Association's homes are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. ORCA is a voluntary non-profit association of retirement residences in Ontario. BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is the leading voice of non-government operators providing continuing care services in British Columbia.
