Ms. Jamieson brings an extensive and unique balance of private, not-for-profit and public sector experience at the most senior levels of government and in the health care sector. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of High Liner Foods, a publicly traded company, where she currently serves as Chair of the Governance Committee.

Ms. Jamieson retired in 2017 as the CEO of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, an independent organization funded by Health Canada to accelerate action on cancer control for all Canadians.  Previously, she held Ontario's highest-ranking civil servant role as Secretary of Cabinet, Head of the Ontario Public Service and Clerk of the Executive Council. She was also Ontario's Deputy Minister of Transportation, Vice-Chair of Health Quality Ontario’s Board and was recently a member of the Ontario Health Board as Chair of the Governance Committee.

Before joining government, Ms. Jamieson worked extensively in long-term care and home care. Former roles held by Ms. Jamieson include President of Extendicare Canada, and Executive Director of the Ontario Nursing Home Association (now the Ontario Long-Term Care Association). Early in her career, Ms. Jamieson ran her own research and consulting firm specializing in geriatric care environments.

In 2012, Ms. Jamieson was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for public service.  Her personal connection to long-term care is strengthened from supporting a loved one who lived in a Sienna care community for approximately 10 years.
