Cheltenham Care Community in Toronto

Welcome to Cheltenham

Cheltenham Care Community is a well-established long-term care community located on Bathurst Street in the heart of Toronto’s Jewish community. Because of its years of service, this home has developed a deep connection to the community; and the variety of programming reflects the interests and backgrounds of the residents. Many of our team members have worked at the home for decades, which has been key to creating a true sense of family and connection. Cheltenham Care Community opened in 1966, and is also well-known for its care programs, including skin and wound care, palliative care, rehabilitation care, and physiotherapy programs. The 170 residents have the option of private or shared accommodation. Air-conditioning is available in common areas and all resident rooms.

Kind words from residents and families

  • “I wish to thank you all for the kindness and love you showed my father these past many years. The compassionate, saintly, caring way in which you helped [my father]… came from hearts full of love and a spirit of service. He was made to feel at home, and it brought great comfort to me to know that he was in a place where he felt secure and loved.”
