Welcome to Hawthorn Woods
Hawthorn Woods Care Community opened in 2003, and is located in a quiet area in east Brampton backing onto conservation lands. Opting for either private or shared accommodation, air-conditioning is available in common areas and all resident rooms, the 160 residents form a diverse and multicultural community that enjoys amenities such as the outdoor walking path and a back patio with a gazebo. Our care community has 150 long-term care beds as well as 10 convalescent care beds. Specialized programs include music and horticultural therapies, and monthly cultural lunches. The home also has a pond inside with fish and turtles, as well as six species of birds. Hawthorn Woods prides itself in a developed palliative care program and unique physiotherapy and nursing rehabilitation programs.
If you have a concern or complaint about the health, safety, or wellbeing of a person living in long term care, we encourage you to bring it to the attention of the care community and its manager. You may also contact the Ministry of Long-Term Care’s toll-free telephone number for making complaints at 1-866-434-0144, with the hours of operation: 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
