Spencer House in Orillia

Welcome to Spencer House

Spencer House is located just west of Highway 11 in the lovely lakeside community of Orillia. This not-for-profit long-term care home, which is managed by Sienna Senior Living, opened in 2006 and embodies the latest and most progressive thinking in long-term care design. As a not-for-profit care community, Spencer House has a Board of Directors whose functions include fundraising for items like therapy equipment, and strengthening connections with residents, families, volunteers, team members, and the community. Opting for either private or shared accommodation, the 160 residents enjoy the attention of caring and dedicated team members. Numerous events and activities are held regularly, including some where the whole community is invited; and others just for residents, their families, and friends.

What residents and families are saying

  • “My mom moved here and couldn't be happier. Staff is caring, skilled and lovely; place is clean, constant activities for the residents. Very impressed.”

  • “[Spencer House Care Community provides] wonderful care and compassionate nursing by… all staff on 3rd floor Birch Lane.”

  • "On behalf of my family, we would like to say “thank you” for the exceptional care and support [Spencer House] gave our Mom. You are unsung heroes!... I want you all to know that your efforts and care did not go unnoticed by our family. We could no longer care for Mom ourselves and it was difficult to leave her in “a home” but we always knew she was well cared for and treated with compassion and concern."

  • “I want to specifically thank Erika, Susan and all of the staff for their hospitality. If I could, I would give the staff here 10 stars. Thank you very much.”
