FAQs

Will I have the freedom to do what I want, when I want?
You will enjoy the same degree of freedom you would have in any apartment building or private home. You can come and go as you please. There are no restrictions or curfews, and it’s up to you how you spend your time. For security reasons, we do ask that you let us know if you plan to be away for any length of time. This gives you, and us, peace of mind.

Are the menus varied? What if I feel like a snack?
Our chefs make several different delicious meals every day, along with a number of à la carte items. Everything is freshly prepared, and the menu varies according to the season and local market availability. If you feel like a snack, most of our residences have a bistro or cafe you can visit throughout the day.

What happens if my health needs change?
Our services evolve to meet changing needs. That means personalized services are available to you when you need them. As you require additional support, we’ll work with you and your family to develop a plan that’s right for you, with the support of our team of registered nurses and personal support workers.

What sorts of activities can I expect?
Each of our retirement residences offers a variety of activities every day based on the preferences expressed by our residents. Expect outings to live performances, on-site learning seminars, fitness classes, wellness programs, and games tournaments with other residents. In line with our approach, our exclusive Signature Services are designed to promote wellness of your mind, body, and spirit. Visit a retirement residence to learn more about the daily activities they offer.

Can my family come for a visit?
Absolutely. In many of our residences, there are guest suites for your family to stay in, and larger rooms you can reserve for family reunions or parties. You can even reserve a table at mealtimes to eat with your family or visiting friends.

What is the difference between a retirement residence and a long-term care community?
